We are reminded that the harvest is PLENTY, but the laborers are few. We are privileged to be given people who will bring us into this gospel; so we should also endeavor to labour now. Prov. 11:30 points us to wisdom in winning souls; this work has been committed and entrusted to us; and we must push it with whatever is given to us.
Now, according to John 9:4; Jesus told us that the important work now to do, is the one that is sent to us. This is the work of winning souls; but the moment we lose the burden of soul winning—is like one who is not ready to work on the plough, who is not worthy.
We read from Prov. 6:4; This is not the time to sleep or to be sluggish—this is not a time to fall into any category of sleep. Now, how is this sleep coming? This sleep is coming and has been embedded in the in-flow of worldly activities but by making soul winning a business, one will not fall asleep.
Church activities without participating in the reaching out to souls will amount to spiritual sleep. The book of proverb has reminded us to go to the ants and learn not to be sluggards.
God tells the church to consider the way of the ants; There is wisdom in it. These ants are considered by themselves; they provide food for summer (just like we’re in summer time). We should take note of the ways of the ants. They are not sleeping, therefore should not sleep and must be busy in the work of reaching out to souls
According to scroll 224: he speaks on the prophecy given to William Brown that involve planting in relation to the work of soul and harvesting. There should be love, faith, charity in the life of the elect. This is beyond the letter of the scripture. This involve the life—in the living of word. There is recreation of the new life of Christ or nature in us when we have these things.
Let us deal with spiritual poverty, and all spiritual deficiency. We must all pun them off, for these things should not be numbered among us; as a result of these things, we are limiting our self from becoming the identity the Christ expects of us.
Another thing we should consider is that when you mock God’s messengers, you are yielding to sleep and backsliding.
We must labour and work now. We are told that. at this time we should prove God through his work. Our duty is to witness at this time. It is to publish the gospel message because the time is coming when no man shall be able to work.
We are told to trust God and labour now. Let us publish the gospel now; Whoever does this, will allow the anointing of God to overtake him or her. We should also know that the sheep knows the voice and follow it.
If you can’t go—your resources, talent, prayers, money can go for you; the more we support the ministry, the more God’s light shine on us. We will, of course be giving full credit for the work we have put in the harvest of souls.
